This is a unique opportunity for a talented Recruitment Consultant to work on an established desk covering the European market.
Launched in 2002, The Treasury Recruitment Company is a privately-owned recruitment consultancy specialising in the corporate treasury market. We support clients and candidates across the UK, Europe and US and are recognized as one of the leading names in the industry. We recruit positions on a permanent, interim and temporary basis and work at all levels from entry Treasury Assistant through to Group Treasurer.
The European Division is a well-established area of the business currently generating approximately 40% of total revenue. We are however only scratching the surface in terms of our presence in this market and are seeking an experienced consultant to drive new business opportunities and grow this division.
Reporting to the Managing Director, the European Recruitment Consultant will be responsible for all aspects of the recruitment cycle with sole responsibility for the European region. The role will be working alongside the UK Consultant and Director of US practice, based in America, as well as a close-knit team of operational support staff.
Day-to-day responsibilities will include;
- Identifying and targeting new clients through market research and lead generation activities
- Managing and cultivating relationships with existing clients
- Taking vacancy briefs and negotiating fees
- Generating candidates through database searching, headhunting and advertising
- Organising and hosting networking meetings and attending key industry events (involving international travel approximately 4 times a year)
- Writing blogs and articles on key industry news to be used for marketing/PR
- Working to a variety of key performance indicators based on the above set of duties
We are looking for a Consultant who is really able to hit the ground running. It is not essential for you to have previous experience recruiting within Treasury, or even to understand what it is – this we can teach! It would be great if you had some exposure to recruiting across international markets but again, this is not essential.
Being a small business, the successful candidate will need to be flexible to the changing needs of the company. It is a ‘roll your sleeves up’ environment where we all chip-in and support each other so strong team working skills will be important. Equally, you will need to be confident working on your own and using your initiative to ensure your targets and goals are achieved.
It may be that you currently work for a large national or generalist agency and are now looking to make that transition into a specialist sector where you will have the opportunity to become a true expert in your field.
Equally, you may be looking to move away from the more structured, corporate recruitment environment into a boutique firm where you will have the opportunity to define and mould your role. If you have a natural entrepreneurial flair and like the idea of working in a mature environment without lots of red tape, restrictions or rigid rules to follow, then this could be the ideal role for you!
