This is an exciting opportunity for a recently qualified accounting professional, looking to take their first step into the world of Treasury. Reporting to the Assistant Treasurer, the Senior Treasury Analyst will be responsible for analysing the impact of financial markets on business performance, and valuations of financial instruments; recommending solutions to mitigate the financial impact, along with monthly and statutory accounting reporting and disclosures.
Other Key Accountabilities;
- Providing market analysis to inform the monthly reforecasts of debt and interest, as well as business plans and reforecasts such as F1, F2 and F3
- Supporting the Front Office Treasury Management in the management of debt portfolio and interest expense
- Interpreting the market causes of monthly volatility in the accounting of financial instruments and reporting this monthly
- Challenging the valuations and hedge accounting results produced by the TMS/parallel TMS ensuring the appropriate curves and mathematical calculations, and discounting are being used as these can change on a frequent basis
The ideal candidate will be a qualified accountant, with 1-2 years’ experience within this field or similar.
They will posses advanced Excel skills, with knowledge of Treasury Systems and the motivation to learn more.
A keen interest in, and good understanding of the financial markets is essential, along with the use of appropriate debt and derivative transactions to take appropriate risk management solutions.
