The Role

Our client’s team is seeking a highly skilled Treasury Accounting Manager to lead their Treasury Accounting Team. As a crucial part of the business, this team is responsible for all accounting and reporting matters related to debt and interest.

In this role, you will be responsible for managing complex debt and interest rate derivatives accounting, liaising with external specialists, and conducting external research to monitor accounting standard changes. You will ensure that our Treasury Management Systems are controlled and used in compliance with required regulations and accounting rules. Your advanced technical expertise in financial accounting, particularly in treasury and IFRS 9, IFRS 13, and IFRS 16, will enable you to actively participate in semi-annual financial accounting and reporting, including the Audit review process. Additionally, you will support all external Treasury Reporting, including the publication and listing of Debt Prospectus, IFRS disclosures, covenant compliance, and semi-annual investor reporting.

The ideal candidate will be a qualified accountant with previous experience in Treasury Accounting, particularly in debt and derivative valuation and accounting, including hedge accounting. You must have in-depth knowledge of treasury management systems and strong interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written. A proactive, results-oriented approach with a commercially minded perspective is essential. Additionally, you must be able to react quickly to complex situations and have excellent problem-solving, analytical, and planning skills. Attention to detail is paramount in this role.

You will play a pivotal role in managing and maintaining the financial integrity of the business, working closely with internal and external stakeholders to ensure compliance and high-quality reporting.

The Candidate

The ideal candidate will hold a graduate degree and be a qualified accountant, possessing a formal Treasury qualification. Along with excellent financial accounting expertise, you should have at least four years of experience in a finance or corporate treasury function.

We are seeking a candidate with in-depth knowledge of treasury management systems and payment systems, as well as strong system aptitude. You must also have experience in managing debt portfolios and banking relationships, with a proven ability to react quickly to complex situations and resolve issues appropriately.

To be successful in this role, you must possess excellent interpersonal, communication, and IT skills. You should be able to motivate others and achieve positive results through your leadership and collaborative approach.
