Treasury Director – Accelerant – Fully Remote
We are delighted to be retained by Accelerant to recruit their Treasury Director. The role will be fully remote with occasional travel.
Accelerant was founded and is led by a team of insurance industry veterans who understand the challenges of Managing General Agents (MGAs) and Program Administrators (PAs), and especially the challenges of dealing with conventional insurance carriers. It’s why fundamentally they are so different from other carriers.

The Role
Accelerant is a private equity backed P&C insurance company with UK, EU, US, KY & CA operations and is continuing to evolve its member centric design, and buildout its Treasury infrastructure.
As part of the continued growth and transformation, they are now looking for a Treasury Director – EMEA to join their team. This is 100% remote role with the expectation to travel for meetings. Reporting into the Group Treasurer, this role will provide hands on support in leading all treasury initiatives for the UK & EU entities whilst continuing to change and build a world class treasury function for Accelerant in alignment to the overarching business objectives.
Key Accountabilities
- In line with continued growth the Treasury Director will be responsible for Treasury Risk Management, Balance Sheet & Capital Management, FX Risk Management & Stress Management for the UK & EU entities.
- Help shape the Treasury function, retaining strategic engagement and outsourcing non-strategic activity where applicable
- To work collaboratively with the wider finance team and other group functions.
The Candidate
The successful individual will be a versatile hands-on corporate treasury professional with at least 8 years’ experience within international organisations, insurance company advantageous.
They will be a graduate in a relevant subject area such as Finance or Accounting and will possess an accounting qualification. They will be experienced in building strong partnerships with both internal and external stakeholders and will have the confidence to guide and educate the business through a consultative approach.
- Preferred qualifications: ACT, ACCA, CIMA, or ACA.
- Expertise in Liquidity Risk, FX Risk, Capital Markets, Bank Relations, and Treasury Operations.
- Beneficial: Experience in FinTech or Tech environments.
- Knowledge of UK & EU regulatory reporting.
- Hands-on experience in liquidity risk and optimizing treasury operations.
- Excellent interpersonal skills for cross-functional collaboration in a dynamic environment.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills to influence decisions at all organizational levels
