Jeremy serves as VP & Global Treasurer for Varel Energy Solutions, one of the world’s largest independent manufacturers and suppliers of downhole drilling and completions products to the energy sector. His mission is to help organizations realize the Treasury department is an overlooked, critical, strategic partner that can enhance the financial awareness of the entire enterprise.

Prior to joining Varel, Jeremy held various treasury and finance roles in prestigious global companies such as Air Liquide (US office) and Saudi Aramco (Saudi Arabia).

Jeremy has years of experience in establishing scalable extensive structures that are global and transparent in nature. As a world citizen, he has expanded his global network immensely while developing a track record of marked increases in efficiency, effectiveness, and internal collaboration.

He is the recent past President of the Houston Treasury Management Association, which is one of the oldest Treasury associations in the United States. He is a native Houstonian and holds an EMBA from the University of Houston.

Danecia Stewart

Director of Treasury - NextDecade LNG

Danecia Stewart, Director of Treasury at NextDecade, has over 15 years of extensive experience in treasury with the unique perspective of having been a practitioner, vendor, and consultant.

She has a wide range of experience and knowledge covering global cash management, capital markets, cash forecasting and more.  As a consultant and vendor, she gained additional expertise in FinTech, digital transformation, advisory, and project management.

As a result of these three different perspectives, Danecia is able to cover all aspects of treasury technology from selection through implementation with the added benefit of having been a user also.  She is very passionate about all aspects of treasury and loves having the opportunity to speak about it.

Martijn van Steenpaal

Senior Vice-President & Treasurer - Darling Ingredients

Martijn van Steenpaal is an accomplished Treasury and Corporate Finance executive with a robust track record in treasury transformation, cash and liquidity management, and financial risk management. With over two decades of experience across multinational corporations, he currently serves as Senior Vice-President & Treasurer at Darling Ingredients, where he oversees global treasury operations, manages complex debt and capital structures, and plays a key role in strategic financing initiatives, including large-scale credit facilities and bond issues.

Previously, Martijn held pivotal roles at companies like VION Food Group, Amgen and Perfetti Van Melle, where he led initiatives that optimized cash flows, banking relationships, and enhanced treasury systems. His expertise spans across corporate finance structuring, working capital improvements, and cross-border cash repatriation, enabling streamlined financial operations and significant cost savings.

Known for his transparent, results-oriented approach, Martijn excels in cross-functional team leadership and stakeholder engagement, particularly during corporate restructuring and M&A transactions. He is active within the treasury community, regularly speaking at industry conferences and member of LeanUp, a network of Treasury professionals.

Fluent in Dutch, English, and intermediate German, Martijn holds a Bachelor’s degree in Management, Economics, and Law, supplemented by advanced training in corporate treasury. His dedication to driving financial excellence is matched by a commitment to innovation in treasury management.
