Ben Miga

Senior Vice President and Treasurer, BrightSpire Capital, Inc.

Ben is an accomplished finance professional specializing in treasury and corporate finance for multi-billion dollar companies. With a strong track record in building and optimizing treasury departments, he has extensive experience across the financial services, technology, and utilities sectors.

Currently, Benjamin serves as the Senior Vice President and Treasurer at BrightSpire Capital, Inc., having previously held the role of Vice President and Treasurer. At BrightSpire Capital, he manages global treasury operations and corporate finance strategies.

Prior to this, he was the Assistant Treasurer at New York Power Authority, where he handled capital markets, hedging, fixed income trading, and cash flow forecasting. He also served as Vice President and Credit Assistant Treasurer at New Mountain Capital and Vice President and Global Treasurer at Lazard, where he oversaw global treasury management, fixed income trading, and debt capital markets.

His early career includes roles at tudor investment corporation, IBM, and Sierra Capital Inc.

Sumit Advani,

Treasurer and Vice President at the Low Income Investment Fund

Sumit is a seasoned finance executive with over twenty years of experience in the financial industry, marked by a diverse array of roles and responsibilities. Beginning his career on Wall Street, Sumit has built expertise in treasury management, financial strategy, and risk mitigation.

Currently, Sumit serves as the Treasurer and Vice President at the Low Income Investment Fund in New York, where he leads the strategic direction and operational functions of the Treasury department.

Before joining LIIF, Sumit held key leadership positions at organizations such as Jackson Hewitt, Cantor Fitzgerald, Barclays Capital, and MF Global with a focus on liquidity management, capital optimization, and financial analytics.

Sumit’s notable achievements include establishing Treasury departments from the ground up, driving annual net income growth, optimizing capital structures, and spearheading initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and risk management.

He holds an MBA from DePaul University’s Kellstadt Graduate School of Business and a BS from Roosevelt University.
