This is a highly visible, hands-on treasury leadership role, reporting directly to the Treasurer and acting as their right hand across day-to-day treasury operations, liquidity, capital planning, treasury systems, banking relationships and wider strategic treasury initiatives.
The business is in growth mode, so this role would suit someone who enjoys building, improving and scaling treasury processes, rather than simply maintaining what already exists.
You will play a key role in helping develop the treasury function as the organization continues to grow, working closely with Finance, Accounting, Investments and Actuarial teams to strengthen liquidity management, reporting, controls and treasury infrastructure.
The Role
You will take responsibility for a broad range of treasury activity, including:
- Managing daily treasury operations, cash positioning, liquidity, collateral and funding
- Developing cash flow, liquidity, capital and collateral forecasts
- Preparing senior leadership and Board-level treasury reporting
- Managing banking relationships, treasury systems and process improvement projects
- Partnering with Finance, Accounting, Investments and Actuarial on liquidity, capital planning and treasury strategy
The Candidate
The ideal candidate will have at least 8 years’ progressive treasury experience, gained within insurance, financial services or corporate treasury.
Insurance or annuity industry experience would be particularly useful.
You will ideally bring:
- Strong experience across liquidity, cash management, capital planning and collateral
- Experience in treasury operations within a regulated or financial services environment
- Good knowledge of treasury systems, banking platforms and reporting tools
- Strong financial modelling, analytical and problem-solving skills
- The confidence to work with senior stakeholders while still staying hands-on
Experience with systems such as JPMorgan Access, Oracle, Kyriba, GTreasury or similar treasury platforms would also be helpful.
You should be analytical, commercially aware, comfortable operating at pace and confident working with senior stakeholders across Finance, Accounting, Investments, Actuarial and external banking partners.
This role would suit someone who can think strategically, but still enjoys getting into the detail and helping build a treasury function properly.
Why Apply?
This is a strong opportunity for a treasury professional who wants to step into a broader Assistant Treasurer role with real visibility and influence.
You will be joining a growing insurance platform where treasury is still being built and scaled, giving you the chance to make a practical impact across liquidity, capital planning, systems, controls, reporting and strategic treasury projects.
You will also gain exposure to a broad treasury remit, including liquidity, capital planning, risk management, treasury technology, investment operations, hedging and capital markets activity.
This is not a narrow, siloed role. It is a genuine opportunity to help shape the treasury function as the business continues to grow.
