Our client is looking for an experienced and proactive Treasury professional ready to take charge in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. This role offers the opportunity to work hands-on with a diverse group of banks in a syndicate, where your strategic leadership will be instrumental in transforming and optimising treasury operations. The ideal candidate will come from a manual, hands-on environment where they are accustomed to unstructured and fast-paced settings, enabling them to transition seamlessly into this role. They should have a deep understanding of what good treasury looks like and will constantly seek opportunities for process improvements. You should be comfortable working manually and be highly proficient in Excel. You will also be tasked with taking imperfect data and identifying what an effective treasury structure should look like, all while adapting your approach to influence and guide different business units. Your ability to help others understand the value of treasury and how their work feeds into this function will be key to your success.
The Role:
- Manage Banking Relationships: Build and maintain strong relationships with banks and third-party partners, coordinate lender queries, and support financing activities.
- Treasury Reporting: Ensure timely and accurate treasury reporting, prepare Board and Lender documents, partner with commercial finance for performance insights, and manage covenant reporting and deadlines.
- Cash Management: Design and implement an efficient cash management strategy, manage liquidity, cash flow, and working capital through accurate forecasting. Ensure well-managed capital structures and loan facilities.
- Bank Accounts: Administer online bank accounts, manage bank mandates, ensure KYC compliance, oversee the bank account structure, and support M&A activities. You will also approve weekly payment runs.
- Policy and Compliance: Develop and monitor treasury policy compliance, manage financial risks, and oversee hedging relationships.
- Continuous Improvement: Actively seek process improvements and advancements in treasury structures, always looking for better, more efficient ways of working.
The Candidate:
- A proven track record in treasury, ideally within a fast-paced, dynamic environment, with experience in a similar environment to ensure a smooth transition.
- Hands-on experience with banking relationships, debt facilities, cash management, and working capital optimization.
- A process improvement mindset, constantly striving to find more efficient ways of working.
- Comfortable with manual processes and heavy Excel use; able to work independently.
- Strong leadership skills, with the ability to influence and bring different business units on board.
- The ability to work with imperfect data and extract actionable insights to improve treasury structures.
- A proven ability to coach and manage teams, work under tight deadlines, and maintain a focus on results.
