About this episode
I’ve often said that treasury is an international language. However, that doesn’t mean that there aren’t cultural shifts in treasury between different countries, which is something I wanted to dive into further on this episode of The Treasury Career Corner podcast with Stephen Harper, General Manager Treasury Europe at NIDEC EUROPE B.V.
Stephen is a senior finance professional with more than 20 years’ experience across four continents. His key strengths lie in setting up treasury functions and restructuring, debt and equity financing instruments in both public and private sectors, corporate finance & business strategy, risk management, cash management, and many more.
His current position is with NIDEC EUROPE B.V., a European integrated sales company comprising Nidec and Nidec Servo and Nidec Techno Motor. The business is centred around the communications, home appliances, and industrial equipment markets. Prior to Stephen’s position as General Manager Treasury Europe at NIDEC EUROPE B.V., he worked as a Treasury Consultant for a variety of companies across various industries from pharmaceuticals to retail.
