About this episode
How have treasury teams adapted to working from home? What does the future hold as we head towards a post-pandemic world?
In this extra special episode recorded for the Treasury 360° Oslo event held in May, we spoke with Kemi Bolarin (Head of Treasury Europe for GXO Logistics) and Anthony Mercer (the Director & Consultant for Mercer & MacRae) about “The Transition to Home-Working for Treasury Teams.”
Remote work has had its fair share of pros and cons, but overall, it has been a positive transition. Kemi’s first reaction to working from home was relief, but the novelty soon wore off, and structure was very much needed. Anthony, who’s used to working remotely with international teams, found the transition both challenging and rewarding.
Press play to hear more of their thoughts on adapting as a team, maintaining a good work-life balance, and what the future holds for treasury teams.
On the podcast, Kemi Bolarin, Anthony Mercer and I discussed…
- How treasury teams adapted to the remote work setup
- The challenges of managing teams during the pandemic
- Why structure is needed when working remotely
- The pros and cons of remote work
- Why the future of treasury will likely follow a hybrid model
- The importance of maintaining good mental health when working from home
