John Cloherty, the Group Treasurer at NCC Group plc, joined the podcast to share his career story up until now. He explains how he came across treasury and how he’s managed to build a successful career for himself.
After qualifying as a Chartered Accountant with KPMG, John moved into industry in the mid-1990s and then into Corporate Treasury in 2000. His experience spans companies in the nuclear industry, recycling, FMCG, medical devices, research, recruitment, and most recently, cyber security.
From privately-owned to government-owned organisations, from PLCs to private equity-backed companies, he has enjoyed a wide variety of experience with global treasury responsibility across developed and emerging markets.
