About this episode

Transitioning through roles is a vital part of building a successful treasury career.

But as it is with most things, there’s a right and wrong way to do it. To share her journey from Staff Accountant to the Director of Treasury for Victoria’s Secret & Co., Summa Simmons joins this episode of Treasury Career Corner.

In her present role, Summa Simmons is entrusted with accurately and efficiently funding the company’s operational and strategic initiatives in accordance with business and industry standards. Some of her previous roles include Assistant Treasurer for Cardinal Health Inc., NiSource Inc, Director of Treasury Operations for GE Capital, and other leadership roles within Morgan Stanley’s controllership organisation.

Victoria’s Secret & Co. (VS&Co), through Victoria’s Secret and Victoria’s Secret PINK, is one of the most recognisable retailers in the world with unparalleled brand awareness. Their brands are in 72 countries, and they have almost 1,400 store locations globally and nearly 80 million followers on Instagram alone.

They have a highly talented, global team of more than 30,000 associates in their stores, distribution centres, and home offices and foster an inclusive culture where everyone can bring their whole selves to work.
