About this episode
There are so many different types of leaders in every single industry. But they all have the same core skills to allow them to be pioneers within their industries.
From humble beginnings and a passion for accountancy, Joel Campbell’s career burgeoned into something which he had never fully planned out.
Joel is Chief Financial Officer of TreviPay, the global B2B payments and invoicing network based in Overland Park, Kansas. He leads the company’s Finance, FP&A, Accounting, Treasury, and Facilities & Procurement functions, with a primary focus on managing all financial aspects of the business and the relationship with its private equity ownership team at Corsair Capital.
Joel has worked as an Assistant Treasurer at Travelers Group, Vice President & Assistant Treasurer at Western Union, and Vice President, Treasurer and Chief Risk Officer at H&R Block.
He’s moved all around the world, taking calculated risks to try and improve his career further and further.
Joel outlines the path that led him to be the leader he is today and even jumps on this re-run of episode 40 from 2019 to update us on his latest career move as Chief Financial Officer at TreviPay.
Not many have made the move from treasury to a CFO role. But Joel is making the position his own!
