Dan Ferguson

Group Treasurer at Resolution Life

Dan began as a Treasury Operations Clerk at Bank of New York Mellon in 1997. He later worked as a Finance Assistant for Lloyds Banking Group before moving into treasury as an Assistant with Ernst & Young.

He became Treasury Operations Analyst at Thomas Cook UK in 2001 before joining RSA where he would spend 19 years as Treasury Dealer and later Treasury Manager and Group Treasurer.

Since May 2022, Dan has been Group Treasurer at Resolution Life, a global manager of legacy life insurance portfolios.

Diane Wilson

Diane joined Tate and Lyle as a graduate trainee after graduating from Bristol with an Engineering Maths degree.  After completing her CIMA apprenticeship and taking a Financial Accountant role, she joined their Treasury team in 1993 as a Dealer.  She then developed her Treasury skills alongside studying for the ACT exams and was promoted to Treasury Financial Controller and Operations Manager.

In 2001 Diane joined Kingfisher plc as Assistant Treasurer – Operations where she completed the MCT exams and learned a great deal about business transformation.  Following a family move to Cheltenham in 2003, Diane then moved into several temporary roles, generally focussing on systems implementations, at Imperial Tobacco, Vodafone and Brambles.

In 2007 Diane joined TI Fluid Systems on another interim contract which turned into the permanent role of Assistant Treasurer in 2008.  After many years managing the TI Treasury function through turbulent times, including a Scheme of Arrangement, Private Equity buy-out, IPO, changing systems and changing banks, she was appointed Group Treasurer in January 2023.

Steve Burton has built a distinguished career in treasury and finance, currently serving as Group Treasurer and Head of Fund Finance at ICG plc since November 2015. In this role, Steve oversees all treasury operations and has developed the Fund Finance business to a $12bn portfolio, highlighting his expertise in Sub lines, Nav deals, and Leverage Facilities.

Before ICG, Steve held several key positions at British American Tobacco for nearly eight years, culminating as the Global Head of CORA, Legal & HR Finance, where he managed significant budgets and led major projects, including a global HR transformation and initiatives for reduced risk products.

His earlier roles included Global Head of Commercial Treasury and Regional Treasurer for Europe at BAT, where he enhanced Treasury operations and finance system integrations. Steve started his finance journey as Finance Controller at BAT Russia.

Steve is an alumnus of the University of Warwick, where he obtained his degree in Finance and Accounting, laying the foundation for his successful career in finance and treasury management.
