Back Office, Treasury Analyst

Our client is an industry leading operator in the UK and are seeking a highly capable Treasury Analyst to take lead in their Treasury back-office function and assist their Assistant Treasurer with various projects.

The successful candidate will be responsible for a range of tasks, including running valuations and hedge effectiveness reports, preparing internal and external reports, posting all Treasury-related journals, and answering audit queries. You will also provide support to the Assistant Treasurer in populating annual regulatory reports for treasury, as well as producing interest cost forecasts, strategic plans, and budgets.

Other key responsibilities include monitoring daily bank balances, preparing and releasing payments, processing cash flows for money market and FX deals, administering intercompany loans, and working closely with various internal and external stakeholders. The role is based in London.

The ideal candidate will have a degree or equivalent qualification, as well as strong analytical and modelling skills. A knowledge of Treasury back-office activities and processes is desirable, as well as experience in treasury systems implementation, continuous improvement, and change management. Knowledge of Treasury systems such as REVAL, Bottomline PT-X, SAP, and HSBC Net is an advantage, and strong IT skills are required.

We are looking for someone who is practical, results-oriented, and able to analyse and grasp situations quickly to create well-reasoned solutions. You should be able to work to tight deadlines, have excellent interpersonal skills, and be an effective communicator with a continuous improvement mindset.

The Candidate

  • Educated to degree level within relevant finance field.
  • Part qualified accountant/AMCT with a desire to become fully qualified.
  • Strong analytical and modelling skills.
  • A knowledge of Treasury back-office activities and processes is desirable.
  • Experience in treasury systems implementation, continuous improvement and change management an advantage.
  • Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Excel & PowerPoint required.
