About this episode
There’s nothing set in stone on how to pursue a career in treasury. But, making your mark certainly does have its benefits.
Being observant, open to change, and comfortable with communication are must-have qualities for Treasurers looking to stand out. This insight comes from Andreas Weindel, the VP Head of Treasury at Esprit.
Andreas kicked off his career as a Treasurer with the multinational tech company, Siemens. His was an unconventional transition into the career path as he didn’t work with various financial services or study to be a treasurer. Rather, he started right away as an in-house consultant on risk advisory and financing.
Since then, he has moved on to roles in Webasto AG, Haribo Holding GmbH & Co. KG, Vapiano S.E., and presently, Esprit.
Founded in San Francisco in 1968, Esprit is a global fashion brand with a presence in over 40 countries. As a group, it markets its products under two brands, the Esprit brand, and the edc brand.
With 900 directly managed retail stores and more than 7,800 wholesale points of sale, Esprit offers a diverse collection for men, women, and kids.
